WHO I AM / ABOUT / SOCIAL

IT / EN:

Mosaic is an ancient art and decorative technique, but for Ilaria Bison it is above all imagination and experimentation.

His cartoonist style, inherited from his passion for comics, aims to entertain and inspire through masterfully crafted works of art and unique objects; using precious materials such as Venetian enamel tiles arranged in random patterns, creating a sense of surface movement and light refraction.

This is how sculptures, decorative panels and everyday objects, such as lamps, mirrors and ornaments, take shape.

The "Queen and King" collection is a fairy tale brought to life by colorful queens and kings...

Ilaria Bison's experimental mosaics:

Ilaria Bison was born on 4th March 1970 in Venice, Italy.

She qualified professional mosaicist. She exhibited her works of art at Villa Manin in Passariano (Udine-Italy) and she attended the first and second international biennial mosaic exhibition held in Ravenna.

The participation in several exhibitions and competition of national and international prominence, drew the attention of the mosaicist mistress Sonia King (from Dallas-Texas), who reviewed her, introducing quite a few of her works in the book "Mosaic technique and tradition: Projects and designs from around the world". Ed. Sterling publishing Company, 2003.

Howadays, Ilaria Bison works in her own workshop, creating works of art also for inside fittings such as tables, mirrors, lamps, coat hangers, knick knacks, stems, ornamental wall-floor panels like enamels of Venice Donà.

Breaking out conventional moulds; the artist prefers the experimental mosaic.
